Description: A halophilic bacterial consortium was enriched from refining oily sludge and used treat oily sludge in batch cultures under different process conditions. Dynamics of the bacterial community structure was studied by Illumina-MiSeq. In addition, changes in the expression of alkane degradation genes were assessed by qPCR.
