At present, the clinical treatment of Muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC) is usually radical cystectomy (RC) and chemotherapy. However, patients with MIBC who are at high risk for RC or who wish to avoid RC are more likely to need effective drug chemotherapy. Cisplatin based neoadjuvant chemotherapy is the mainstream choice of chemotherapy at present. However, because MIBC has a strong tendency of distal metastasis leading to recurrence, the cure rate of existing chemotherapy drugs is not ideal. In addition, given the lack of consensus on the eligibility criteria for cisplatin in MIBC, the suitability of cisplatin for some patients with MIBC remains questionable. At the same time, the objective fact of cisplatin resistance and nephrotoxicity also limits the treatment of MIBC. Therefore, it is urgent to find new anti-bladder cancer drugs to meet the needs of different bladder cancer patients.
