Awareness and usage of tap to pay among credit card owners in Japan 2022

According to a survey conducted in July 2022, over 54 percent of IC credit card holders in Japan owned a credit card with a contactless payment function. While around 31 percent used the tap to pay function, over 23 percent did not use it.
