Transcriptome analysis of Santalum album

Santalum album or Indian Sandalwood is a species listed as vulnerable by IUCN and highly valued for its essential oil. Understanding the genetic and molecular basis of adaptive diversity in this species is lacking. The present study investigates the transcriptome-level response across nine sandalwood genotypes sourced from diverse climatic conditions.
