VEC Results for 2013 Wyndham City Council countback, Chaffey Ward

Countbacks occur for local councils when a casual vacancy is to be filled in a multi-councillor ward or unsubdivided municipality. In a countback, votes for the vacating councillor from the last election are redistributed to unsuccessful candidates according to the voters' preferences. For each countback a report is generated for the distribution of these preferences

当多席位选区（multi-councillor ward）或未分区市镇（unsubdivided municipality）出现临时议席空缺（casual vacancy）需进行补选时，地方议会（local councils）将启动回溯点票（countback）程序。在该程序中，上一届选举中当选但现已离任的议员所获得的选票，将按照选民的偏好顺位重新分配给未当选的候选人。每一次回溯点票流程都会生成一份针对上述偏好分配情况的专项报告。
