The goal of this research was to develop a quantitative galactose colorimetric detection platform that uses plasmonic gold nanostars and co-immobilized galactose dehydrogenase and NAD+. In the presence of 0.05 mM H2O2, the biosensor provided quantified colorimetric signals that were dependent on the analyte concentration.
