Identification and molecular mapping of new gene Xa50(t), conferring resistance against Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae in Rice

This project investigates the gene expression response of two rice cultivars, CAAS-11308X315 (CX315) and JG30, to bacterial inoculation with the Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo) strain T7147. We performed RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq) at two time points: 0 hours (pre-inoculation) and 48 hours post-inoculation. The goal was to identify differentially expressed genes in response to Xoo infection and to gain insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying disease resistance or susceptibility in these cultivars. By comparing gene expression profiles at the two time points, we aim to pinpoint key genes involved in the early defense response to Xoo, as well as those that may contribute to resistance or susceptibility in CX315 and JG30.
