Multi-year green manure intercropping to increase the levels of metal elements that promote higher crop yields

As indicators of soil fertility, metal elements in soil are important factors that affect soil physical and chemical properties, have an important impact on the composition and structure of soil microorganisms, and are crucial for the yield and quality of crops. As a clean and non-polluting organic fertiliser, the long-term application of green manure can improve soil quality, crop yield, and underground biomass. However, the research on the changes in soil metal content and its influencing factors and mechanisms under different green manure and intercropping modes is still insufficient. Therefore, this experiment was conducted to study the content of metal elements, soil physical and chemical properties, microbial abundance and their correlations under multi-year green manure intercropping.
