Alpheids from the early Miocene (Aquitanian) Khari Nadi Formation, Kutch Basin, western India: associated chemical [EDS (Multispot and Mapping) and XRF] data

Herein, we provide the Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy - EDS (multispot and mapping) data pertaining to the alpheid shrimp (family Alpheidae) remains (fingertips) recovered from the early Miocene (Aquitanian) Khari Nadi Formation (Kutch Basin, western India). In addition, data on chemical concentration (based on X-Ray Fluorescence - XRF analyses) of host (alpheid-yielding) and associated lithologies has been provided. Further, a table summarizes the global distribution (during the Paleogene-Neogene interval) of fossil alpheid claw fingertips records.
