The aim of this study was to investigate changes in the microbial community composition in sediment from a mining pond when it was amended with different types of carbon during 10 weeks in anoxic microcoms. The microbial community composition in the sediment is relevant for the water chemistry and for the possible production and release of green house gases from the pond system.
