Shotgun metagenomic and bioinformatic tools were applied for genome assembly and annotation of ten different black yeast genomes from microbiome biofouled fabric materials contain plasticizers. These genomes harbor genes involved in hydrocarbon and fabric biodegradation providing useful information for developing antimicrobial additives.
