The dataset, “A decadal, hourly high-resolution GOCI aerosol optical properties over East Asia provides five aerosol optical properties for local daytime (00 UTC – 07 UTC) over East Asia in spatial resolution of 2 km at nadir. The dataset is saved in an hourly basis, in the NETCDF-4 format. It spans the period of March 2011 to March 2021, and shares the same coordinates saved in “GOCI_YAERAERO_hires_navigation.nc” (the ‘navigation_data’). The navigation data includes longitude, latitude, viewing zenith angle, viewing azimuth angle, and the land-sea mask in 2 km resolution at nadir. The hourly aerosol dataset (‘geophysical_data’) includes one retrieved variable and four derived, ancillary variables. The retrieved variable, aerosol optical depth at 550 nm, and the four derived, ancillary variables, the aerosol type, the Angstrom Exponent between 440 nm and 870 nm, the fine mode fraction at 550 nm, and the single scattering albedo at 440 nm are included.
