Integration of anoxic P removal and PdN/A processes in a single reactor treating high organic-load wastewater

Denitrifying phosphorus removal was integrated with partial denitrification/anammox processes in a one-stage reactor treating high organic-load wastewater. 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing analysis was applied as a useful tool to reveal the functional communities dynamics at the genus level and further to demonstrate the feasibility of this novel process for intensive and efficient wastewater nutrient removal.
