Supplementary video for the article "A Programmable CMOS DEP Chip for Cell Manipulation"
This video demonstrates the use of a CMOS DEP chip for particle manipulation, including particle patterning, concentration control, and single particle manipulation, all performed on the same chip and sample.
This work presents a programmable DEP chip that allows dynamic reconfiguration of electric field patterns, enabling controlled particle movement on the chip surface. Implemented on a standard 0.18 µm CMOS process without post-processing, the chip features a 128 × 128 array of individually controllable 10 µm microelectrodes. The proposed electrode design enables particle manipulation at speeds up to 27 µm/s while operating at only 1.8 V. With its reconfigurability and biocompatibility, this low-voltage programmable CMOS DEP chip opens new possibilities in cell manipulation and analysis.
