Fermentation of wheat bran particles by gut microbiota

Here we investigate fermentation of variously-sized wheat bran fractions by the colonic microbiota of healthy donors in vitro. Using 16S amplicons across the V4 and V5 regions (515FB-926R), we characterized community membership and structure to determine whether differently-sized brans selected for distinct microbial communities.
