Parkes observations for project P741 semester 2010APRS

CU Virginis is the prototypical example of a new class of stellar radio transient. This star provides a unique laboratory for studying coherent radio emission mechanisms in a stellar environment. Observations taken for this proposal will allow us to determine whether the pulses are formed out a continuous emission process or discrete flares and thereby constrain the emission mechanism.

CU Virginis是一类新型恒星射电暂现源（stellar radio transient）的典型范例。该天体为在恒星环境中研究相干射电辐射机制提供了独一无二的实验平台。本项目所开展的观测将帮助我们明确其脉冲信号究竟源自连续辐射过程还是离散耀斑，进而对其辐射机制加以约束。
