This dataset contains water temperature, salinity, plankton, and others taken by CTD and Niskin bottles from the schooner Tara at sample locations during world-wide cruise. Some casts were taken in US EEZ. The objective of Tara oceans mission, an international, multidisciplinary project, was to get a planetary-scale understanding of the ocean ecosystem, particularly in light of climate change and to assess the complexity of ocean life across comprehensive taxonomic and spatial scales. This is US State Department MSR cruise U2011-018. This data were submitted as part of the World Data Service for Oceanography.
