Iraq’s rapid desertification of its arable land poses an existential threat to its population and environment. It manifests many other environmental problems and adds to an already deteriorating situation. This research addresses the causes of desertification in Iraq and assesses the green belt project, focusing on its challenges. It also derives lessons from other countries with similar experiences and suggests solutions from a security standpoint.

伊拉克可耕地的快速荒漠化对其民众与生态环境构成生存性威胁。该问题还衍生出诸多其他环境难题，进一步加剧了本已趋于恶化的整体局势。本研究聚焦伊拉克荒漠化的成因展开分析，同时对该国绿化带项目进行评估，重点探讨其实施过程中面临的各类挑战。此外，本研究还从拥有类似荒漠化治理经历的国家中汲取经验教训，并从安全视角提出针对性的解决方案。
