The study aimed to investigate if known para-aminosalicylic acid resistance mechanisms cause cross resistance against trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole. Both target the folate pathway and are used to treat M/XDR-TB patients. ThyA deletion mutants and clincial MTB isolates were analaysed.
