Passeriformes (passerine)
The mean clutch size and additional information on hatchling success, fledging success, incubation duration, and habitat type are compiled for the 30 species within the taxonomic group Passeriformes (passerine), also known as perching birds. The data is taken from global locations and has been compiled to review differences within clutch size due to environmental differences such as climate. It is already mentioned that tropical birds reproduce a smaller clutch due to higher annual survival than birds in temperate regions (Muñoz et al., 2018 & Young, 1996). Therefore, with climates changing globally, it is interesting to review whether clutch sizes in temperate and tropical regions change over time. With biodiversity changing across the globe, will the passerine species have to adapt to the new environment by changing their clutch sizes? To find the dataset I used the search engines google scholar, science direct, Web of Science and Scopus. I searched for the key words, clutch size and the species name. I made a list of species from the passerine group by using google.
