Dataset for "Beyond Centralisation? Reassessing Pottery Production in Iron Age Emilia-Romagna"

This repository contains the supplementary dataset and reproducibility materials for the article Beyond Centralisation? Reassessing Pottery Production in Iron Age Emilia-Romagna. The dataset includes 48 pottery-production contexts from 23 sites in Emilia-Romagna, with information on locality, chronology, analytical period, territorial setting, production category, reliability, archaeological evidence, and references. Contexts spanning multiple periods are retained in the dataset but excluded from the strict comparison between Periods 1 and 2. The repository also includes the R script used to reproduce the quantitative analyses and figures, a README explaining the classifications and inclusion criteria, and the session information reporting the software environment. Blank cells indicate information that could not be established with confidence.
