The Investigation for Fire Use Behavior of Residences in Wu-Lin Area

People living in the forest district have close interaction with forest. Their behavior of using fire is often one of the key heat resources which causing forest fire. Accordingly, to well understand and analyze their fire use behavior is the prominent issue in preventing forest fire. This study takes the example of Wu-Lin Area and the Theory of Reasoned Action to evaluate the actual four fire use behavior intention through fire use attitude and subjective norm. The result indicates the condition between the local residences’ safe fire use attitude and necessary fire use subjective norm. Therefore, different forest fire actions can all speculate their fire use intention precisely through fire use attitude and subjective norm, in which, subjective norm have higher influence. Moreover, it also shows that local residences’ fire use intention and actual fire use behavior have significant correlation, in another word, it is necessary for residences in Wu-Lin Area to be aware of proper fire use and realize that they can use fire safely. Consequently, they not only possess fire use intention but also actual fire use behavior. This kind of cognition invisibly improves local people’s actual fire use behavior during dangerous season when forest fire happens. When the prohibition can not work well, how to guide local people to avoid fire use during dangerous period and enhance fire use safety measurement are the important strategies to prevent forest fire locally

林区居民与森林有着紧密的互动联系，其用火行为往往是引发森林火灾的关键热源之一。因此，深入理解并分析当地居民的用火行为，是森林防火工作中的核心议题。本研究以武陵地区（Wu-Lin Area）为研究案例，基于理性行为理论（Theory of Reasoned Action），通过用火态度与主观规范两大维度，评估当地居民的四类实际用火行为意向。研究结果显示，当地居民的安全用火态度与必要的用火主观规范之间存在特定关联；各类森林用火行为均可通过用火态度与主观规范实现对其用火意向的精准推测，其中主观规范的影响效应更为显著。此外，研究还表明，当地居民的用火意向与实际用火行为存在显著相关性，换言之，武陵地区居民需树立正确用火认知并掌握安全用火技能。由此，居民不仅能形成合理的用火意向，更能将其落实到实际用火行为中，这种认知在森林火灾高发的危险季节中，潜移默化地改善了当地居民的实际用火行为。当防火禁令难以发挥有效作用时，如何引导居民在危险时段规避用火行为，并完善用火安全防护措施，是当地开展森林防火工作的重要策略。
