Area of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lower Saxony Wadden Sea

The UNESCO Lower Saxony Wadden Sea Biosphere Reserve consists of a core zone, a care zone and a development zone. The core zone is formed by areas of the rest zone of the national park, the care zone by areas of the intermediate zone of the national park and the development zone by areas of the recreation zone of the national park. The development zone is also the UNESCO-recognised area of municipalities outside the national park, which have declared their will to belong to the development zone. This is June 2023: the velvet community of Hage, the municipality of Jemgum, the city of North, the city of Nordenham, the municipality of Sande, the municipality of Schortens, the municipality of Spiekeroog, the municipality of Zetel, the city of Jever, the city of Wilhelmshaven, the municipality of Geestland only with the districts Imsum and Langen the city of Cuxhaven only with the Cuxhaven coastal heaths (Duhner Heide, DBU natural heritage, Werner Wald)联合国教科文组织（UNESCO）下萨克森瓦登海生物圈保护区由核心区、管护区与发展区三部分组成。其中，核心区由国家公园休憩区域构成，管护区由国家公园过渡区域构成，发展区由国家公园游憩区域构成。 发展区同时涵盖经联合国教科文组织认定的国家公园外围市镇辖区，上述市镇已自愿声明纳入发展区范围。截至2023年6月，此类区域包括： - 哈格天鹅绒社区 - 耶姆古姆市镇 - 诺斯市 - 诺德哈姆市 - 桑德市镇 - 肖尔滕斯市镇 - 施皮克奥格市镇 - 策特尔市镇 - 耶弗尔市 - 威廉港市 - 仅辖有伊姆萨姆与朗根片区的格斯特兰市镇 - 仅包含库克斯港沿海荒原（杜讷荒原、DBU自然遗产、维尔纳森林）的库克斯港市
