Spatial analysis of dengue incidence in Peru, 2018-2024: data and code

Data and code accompanying a spatio-temporal persistence analysis of dengueincidence across the 196 provinces of Peru, 2018-2024. The repository contains a balanced panel of 1372 province-year observations builtfrom official dengue surveillance records, INEI population projections and theofficial provincial cartography; the R scripts implementing the Global Moran'sIndex, the Getis-Ord Gi* statistic and Local Indicators of Spatial Associationwith conditional permutation inference (9,999 permutations) and Benjamini-Hochbergfalse discovery rate correction; and the resulting numerical output, including thetemporal persistence indicator for hotspot clusters. Surveillance data were downloaded on 20 July 2026 from the National Open DataPortal of Peru (CDC-MINSA). The raw surveillance file is not redistributed herebecause it is publicly available and large; the README documents its exact sourceand download date.
