Site Data from an Archaeological Strip, Map, and Sample at Bonds Lane, Biggleswade, Central Bedfordshire, September - December 2021

This collection comprises images, reports, and CAD data from an archaeological strip, map and sample investigation at land at Bonds Lane, Biggleswade, Central Bedfordshire. Albion Archaeology undertook works between 14th September and 22nd December 2021, prior to the demolition of the existing buildings and erection of 50 residential apartments. Archaeological evidence ranged from the Medieval to the Modern period, with the exception of 2 pieces of pot from the Iron Age and Roman period, respectively. The investigation provided a rare and interesting snapshot of the later medieval through to early modern development of this part of Biggleswade.

本数据集涵盖了贝德福德郡中部比格斯韦德（Biggleswade）邦兹巷（Bonds Lane）地块考古条带测绘、地图绘制与取样调查所获取的影像资料、调查报告及计算机辅助设计（CAD）数据。阿尔比恩考古（Albion Archaeology）于2021年9月14日至12月22日期间开展本次作业，作业实施早于当地既有建筑拆除及50套住宅公寓的新建工程。本次调查发现的考古遗存年代跨度从中世纪时期至近现代时期，仅包含两件分别属于铁器时代与罗马时期的陶器残片。此次调查为比格斯韦德该区域从中世纪晚期至近代早期的发展历程留存了一份珍贵且极具研究价值的快照式记录。
