Projections of Antarctic ice-free areas under two RCP climate change scenarios

Here we provide projections of Antarctic ice-free areas at the end of the 21st century under two RCP (Representative Concentration Pathways) carbon forcing scenarios (RCP4.5, RCP8.5). Each RCP has a 'mean' projection and a 'lower' and 'upper' bound, generated using mean, lower and upper melt coeffcients during the melt modelling. Methods used to derive the ice-free projections are detailed in Lee et al. 2017.

本研究提供了两种典型浓度路径（Representative Concentration Pathways，RCP）碳强迫情景（RCP4.5、RCP8.5）下，21世纪末南极无冰区面积的预估结果。每种RCP情景均包含均值预估结果，以及上下边界预估结果，该结果通过融冰模拟过程中使用的平均、下限和上限融冰系数生成。本研究无冰区预估结果的推导方法详见Lee等人2017年的研究成果。
