Letters from Private Grattan Atkins (15)

A diary kept by Grattan Atkins from 1st January 1915 to 10th September 1915 (when he was shot, with a few subsequent pages on his hospitalization), is also kept by the family.

Pte. 2301 John C. Grattan Atkins, 1/23rd Bn. (County of London) Bn., Territorial Force (London Regiment), served for a time in the battalion's Trench Mortar (Reserve) Battery. The 1/23rd Bn. was part of the 47th (London) Division, joining on 11th May 1915.

格拉坦·阿特金斯（Grattan Atkins）于1915年1月1日至1915年9月10日（当日其遭枪击，另有数页记录其住院治疗情况）所撰写的日记，亦由其家族妥善留存。

列兵2301号约翰·C·格拉坦·阿特金斯，隶属于领土部队（Territorial Force）伦敦团第1/23（伦敦郡）营，曾短暂服役于该营的预备堑壕迫击炮炮兵连。第1/23营隶属于第47（伦敦）师，于1915年5月11日编入该师。
