Characterization of Escherichia coli isolated from Brazilian birds

Colibacillosis is a disease with local or systemic manifestation, associated with avian pathogenic Escherichia coli (APEC). In this study, complete genome sequencing was performed to characterize Escherichia coli strains isolated from femurs from 64 batches in Brazil, between August and November 2021. The states evaluated in this study are Parana, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, Sao Paulo, Minas Gerais, and Ceara.
