Canopy fuel maps for Pinus pinaster in interior Spain

Thirthy meter resolution maps of canopy fuel attributes for pure maritime pine polygons of the Spanish Forest Map in the Autonomous comunities of Aragon, Castilla y León, La Rioja, Madrid, Castilla la Mancha and Extremadura, Spain. Mapped attributes are canopy base height (CBH, m), canopy bulk density (kg/m3), canopy fuel load (CFL, Mg/ha) and canopy height (CH, m) Maps were obtained using random forest models relating canopy fuel attributes with airborne laser scanning data, landsat time series imagery, topographic and climate metrics. Models were trained using data from the fourth National Forest Inventory cycle in Spain. Coefficients of determination were, 88.44% for CH, 81.28% for CFL, 76.45% for CBD and 58.23% for CBH. 本数据集为西班牙阿拉贡、卡斯蒂利亚-莱昂、拉里奥哈、马德里、卡斯蒂利亚-拉曼恰与埃斯特雷马杜拉自治区内,西班牙森林地图中纯海岸松(maritime pine)多边形样区的30米分辨率冠层燃料属性图谱。本次制图涵盖的冠层燃料属性包括:冠层基高(canopy base height, CBH,单位:m)、冠层体密度(canopy bulk density, CBD,单位:kg/m³)、冠层燃料载量(canopy fuel load, CFL,单位:Mg/ha)以及冠层高度(canopy height, CH,单位:m)。该图谱通过随机森林模型生成:以冠层燃料属性为因变量,将其与机载激光扫描数据、Landsat时间序列影像、地形及气候指标建立关联关系构建预测模型;模型训练采用西班牙第四次全国森林清查数据。各属性的决定系数分别为:冠层高度CH 88.44%、冠层燃料载量CFL 81.28%、冠层体密度CBD 76.45%、冠层基高CBH 58.23%。该数据集的构建流程详见手稿《Estimating crown fuels in Pinus pinaster Aiton forests of interior Spain using remote sensing and national forest inventory data》(目前处于审稿阶段)。
