This dataset contains the electric field power spectral density observed by WHISPER on Cluster-4. Compared to the WHI_NATURAL and WHI_ACTIVE datasets, the particularity of this dataset is that bandwidth of the measurements is large, so as to optimise the time resolution. The dataset includes data obtained both when the sounder is active and passive (natural waves). The support data includes : a flag to indicate sounder activity the number of elementary spectra which have been summed. Individual spectral are acquired every 13.33 ms, and these spectra are averaged to improve the statistics. an indicator of how many, if any, of the individual spectra were saturated.

本数据集收录了Cluster-4卫星搭载的WHISPER仪器观测得到的电场功率谱密度(electric field power spectral density)。相较于WHI_NATURAL与WHI_ACTIVE数据集,本数据集的独特之处在于其测量带宽更广,以此优化时间分辨率。本数据集涵盖等离子体测深仪(sounder)处于主动工作与被动接收天然波两种模式下获取的全部数据。其配套辅助数据包括:用于标识测深仪工作状态的标记、已累加的基础能谱(elementary spectra)的数量。单条基础能谱的采集间隔为13.33毫秒,随后对这些能谱进行平均处理以提升统计可靠性。此外还包含用于指示饱和单条能谱数量(若存在此类情况)的指标。
