Retraction and Correction of Scientific Articles Due to Conflicts of Interest: A Cross‑Sectional Analysis of the Retraction Watch Database - CODEBOOK

This codebook describes all variables included in the dataset on editorial notices related to conflicts of interest (CoI) in the Retraction Watch–Crossref database. It provides variable names, labels, coding schemes, and value ranges for article‑level characteristics (e.g. notice type, article type, scientific field, country, publisher, number of authors and institutions), and retraction‑process characteristics (dates of publication and notice).
