Data Editor: Wei Shunjun. High-Resolution 3D Millimeter-Wave Radar Dataset (3DRIED) 1.0: A total of 81 sets of millimeter-wave radar 3D imaging echo data and images are released. The dataset is acquired via near-field imaging by scanning the millimeter-wave sensor along a two-dimensional plane, with a scanning size of 0.4 m × 0.4 m, a radar center frequency of 78.8 GHz, and a transmitted signal bandwidth of 3.6 GHz. The signal sampling counts of the millimeter-wave sensor in the range, azimuth and elevation directions are 256, 407 and 200 respectively, resulting in a single-channel raw echo data dimension of 256 × 407 × 200. Near-field observation targets include metallic objects such as knives and firearms, covering scenarios with single targets, multiple targets, and concealed targets (paper boxes, cloth bags). The radar sensor in this dataset is equipped with 4 receive channels, so the final dimension of the raw echo data in the dataset is 256 × 407 × 200 × 4. The echo data is stored in MAT format (Matlab matrix files), and optical images of the observed target scenes as well as reference images for 2D and 3D imaging are also provided.
