Land use and land cover maps of the municipality of Buritizeiro, Minas Gerais State, Brazil, for 2018 and 2022, and the corresponding farmland abandonment map (2018-2022)

The land use and land cover (LULC) map of the municipality of Buritizeiro, Minas Gerais State, Brazil, for 2018 was produced from a Sentinel-2 Multispectral Imager (MSI) satellite image acquired on 15 August 2018 and processed by the Fully Connected Neural Network (FCNN) deep learning classifier. Training, test, and validation data were obtained during a field campaign conducted in June and August 2023, complemented by visual inspection of high-resolution satellite images available in the Google Earth platform. The 2022 LULC map was generated following the same procedure, using the Sentinel-2 image acquired on 19 August 2022. The abandoned farmland map for the period 2018–2022 was derived by selecting agricultural areas mapped in 2018 (annual croplands, cultivated pastures, eucalyptus plantations, and harvested eucalyptus) that were reclassified as grasslands or shrublands in 2022.

巴西米纳斯吉拉斯州布里蒂泽鲁市（Buritizeiro）2018年土地利用与土地覆被（Land Use and Land Cover, LULC）地图，基于2018年8月15日获取的Sentinel-2多光谱成像仪（Multispectral Imager, MSI）卫星影像制作完成，并采用全连接神经网络（Fully Connected Neural Network, FCNN）深度学习分类器进行处理。训练、测试与验证数据来源于2023年6月至8月开展的野外实地调查，并通过目视解译谷歌地球（Google Earth）平台的高分辨率卫星影像予以补充。2022年土地利用与土地覆被地图采用相同流程生成，所用影像为2022年8月19日获取的Sentinel-2卫星影像。2018-2022年废弃农田地图则通过筛选2018年已测绘的农业区域（一年生耕地、栽培牧草地、桉树人工林及采伐后桉树迹地），提取出2022年被重新归类为草地或灌丛的区域而得到。
