Annual Google Trends Data and Related-Query Coding for MRI, CT and Ultrasonography Across Five Countries, 2004–2025

This dataset accompanies the study “Long-Term Online Health Information-Seeking Behaviour Related to Medical Imaging Modalities: A Comparative Google Trends Analysis Across Five Countries.” The deposited files contain annual mean Google Trends relative search volume (RSV) values for MRI, CT and ultrasonography in Türkiye, the United States, the United Kingdom, France and Germany for 2004–2025, together with the classification of 300 related-query records. The coding table includes the initial assignments of two independent coders, final categories and a category list. Each country–modality RSV series was independently normalised by Google Trends. Values therefore do not represent absolute search counts and should not be directly compared as search-interest levels across separately queried series. This deposit contains processed annual datasets and the selected related-query coding table. The original monthly Google Trends downloads and analysis code are not included.
