POLLEN ANALYSIS AT 32ME847, NORTH DAKOTA

A stratigraphic column collected from 32ME847 was examined for pollen to
provide a record of prehistoric vegetation in the vicinity of this site.
Interpretations of paleoenvironmental conditions are made from the record of
vegetation. Middle Archaic, Late Archaic, Woodland, and Late Prehistoric
archaeological manifestations were noted at this site.

本次研究对采自32ME847点位的地层柱（stratigraphic column）开展花粉（pollen）分析，以重建该遗址周边区域的史前植被记录。基于该植被记录，可对古环境状况进行解读。该遗址已识别出中阿卡迪亚期（Middle Archaic）、晚阿卡迪亚期（Late Archaic）、林地文化期（Woodland）以及史前晚期（Late Prehistoric）的考古学文化遗存（archaeological manifestations）。
