RNA-Seq analysis of rat pancreatic tissue from control and acute pancreatitis models

This study investigates gene expression changes in the pancreas of rats with acute pancreatitis induced by intraperitoneal injection of L-arginine (2*2.5 g/kg, 48 hours) compared to saline-injected controls. High-throughput RNA-Seq was used to explore the transcriptomic differences. Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into control and acute pancreatitis (AP) groups. The control group received an intraperitoneal injection of saline, while the AP group received an intraperitoneal injection of L-arginine at 2*2.5 g/kg. Samples were collected 48 hours after treatment, and total RNA was extracted for transcriptome sequencing using the Illumina Ten platform.
