Studies on ocean–atmospheric interactions extensively employ data relating to the surface radiation budget, atmospheric turbulent fluxes, and basic meteorological elements. Numerous observations have been conducted in various locations of radiation, atmospheric fluxes, and basic meteorological elements; however, few research teams have collected and published such data for south Sri Lanka. Our study bridges this gap and presents radiation, turbulence, and basic meteorological datasets collected at the Ruhuna observation site on the southern coast of Sri Lanka. The datasets contain multiple variables, including net radiation, net longwave radiation, net shortwave radiation, surface wind, air temperature, relative humidity, precipitation, sensible heat flux, latent heat flux, and momentum flux. The data were collected from April 11, 2017 to September 2, 2018, with the atmospheric turbulence flux data covering the period from March 23, 2017 to April 16, 2017.
海洋-大气相互作用领域的研究广泛采用与地表辐射收支、大气湍流通量及基础气象要素相关的数据。全球诸多区域已针对辐射、大气通量及基础气象要素开展了大量观测,但鲜有研究团队针对斯里兰卡南部地区收集并公开发布此类数据。本研究填补了这一空白,公开了斯里兰卡南部海岸鲁胡纳(Ruhuna)观测站点采集的辐射、湍流及基础气象数据集。该数据集包含多类变量,具体包括净辐射(net radiation)、净长波辐射(net longwave radiation)、净短波辐射(net shortwave radiation)、地表风速(surface wind)、气温(air temperature)、相对湿度(relative humidity)、降水(precipitation)、感热通量(sensible heat flux)、潜热通量(latent heat flux)及动量通量(momentum flux)。数据采集时段为2017年4月11日至2018年9月2日,其中大气湍流通量数据的采集时段为2017年3月23日至2017年4月16日。
