Data was collected using ten quadrat samples were taken in a grassland area in Toronto Ontario. The quadrants were used to observe the number of plants, number of species, species identity, approximate percentage of vegetation coverage, and approximate percentage of grass coverage. This data was collected by P Chow, N Gajendran, C Lau, and T Sequeira who all had designated roles in the data collection process. P Chow was designated to estimate the percentage of grass coverage and vegetation coverage so that perception of the estimation would remain generally the same. N Gajendran took five steps in any direction in attempt to keep quadrant sampling relatively random. C Lau recorded the data and the species identity. T Sequeira counted the number of plants within each quadrat distinguishing them by root.
