Our research focuses on Guichi, China—a critical region for schistosomiasis transmission—where we developed and compared four distinct models. The baseline model outperformed the other three in terms of prediction accuracy. These findings provide critical insights into high-risk snail habitats, offering a robust framework for targeted snail control and schistosomiasis prevention strategies. Furthermore, this study demonstrates potential applications in mapping habitats of hosts for other epidemic diseases, thereby contributing to broader disease control efforts.
