BAC 1.2F5 macrophage gene expression

BAC 1.2F5 macrophages are derived from a clone of the BAC1 SV40 transformed murine macrophage cell line with strong responses to CSF1. They have been shown to interact with breast cancer tumor cells in a paracrine loop. We used microarrays to determine the basal gene expression and expression after incubation with CXCL1 and NRG1 BAC 1.2F5 macrophages were cultured in αMEM with L-glutamine, 10% FBS, 3000 units/ml CSF-1 and then stimulated for 2 hours either with the same medium or medium containing in addition both 12 nM NRG1 and 50 ng/ml CXCL1, followed by isolation of total RNA.
