Chlorophyll content of vegetation in key regions of the world in 2017

The resolution of the newly launched sentinel satellite is much better than that of the traditional satellite. Sentinel-2 adds red edge band which is more sensitive to vegetation, which can overcome the limitation of time, space and spectral resolution in retrieving vegetation chlorophyll content based on traditional satellite data, and improve the retrieval accuracy and frequency of vegetation chlorophyll content in an all-round way. The product data set includes the retrieval information of chlorophyll content of cultivated land, forest and grassland in Northeast, Huanghuaihai, middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River, forest and grassland in Daxinganling and Hulunbeier, main grain producing areas in North America, Amazon and other regions. This time series product is helpful for emergency monitoring of crop growth and forest monitoring in key areas.
