Belmont Wetlands East Coast Storms Restoration Project – Stage 1

This project aims to reduce erosion, revegetate a significant area and undertake weed control alongside the Fernleigh Bicycle Track. An iconic dune lost a lot of vegetation during the recent storm event and is washing into a wetland lagoon. This needs to be revegetated. The project will also facilitate the repair of numerous unsealed roads and walking tracks that have many small to large erosion washouts/holes. The Green Army team will support and participate in community working bees which will clear large amounts of green waste and fallen trees/shrubs affecting public access.

本项目旨在于弗恩利自行车道（Fernleigh Bicycle Track）沿线开展侵蚀治理、大面积植被恢复及杂草防控工作。近期一场风暴事件导致一处标志性沙丘大量丧失植被，其泥沙正随径流冲刷进入一处湿地潟湖，亟需开展植被恢复工作。本项目还将助力修复多条存在大小不一侵蚀冲蚀坑的未铺装道路与步行道。绿色军团（Green Army）工作组将支持并参与社区志愿劳作活动，清理大量影响公共通行的绿化废弃物与倒伏乔灌木。
