Bolsa Família Program: impact in the food and role of non-monetary acquisition in urban and rural areas

Abstract: This study evaluates the impact of Bolsa Família Program in urban and rural environments, investigating changes in food consumption and identifying access to other non-monetary purchases. Through 86 interviews in a municipality of Paraná State, we observed that the program increased the frequency of food consumption with the help of other non-monetary acquisitions in the urban environment. In the rural areas, self-consumption was an important adjunct to the food security of the beneficiaries.摘要：本研究评估了巴西家庭补助金计划（Bolsa Família Program）在城乡环境中的实施影响，探究了食品消费的变化情况，并明确了受助群体获取其他非货币性商品的途径。研究团队在巴拉那州（Paraná State）的一座市镇开展了86次访谈，结果显示：在城市环境中，该计划借助其他非货币性获取行为提升了食品消费频次；在乡村地区，自给自足消费是保障受益者粮食安全的重要补充手段。
