Characterization of substratum composition in a Lessonia trabeculata kelp bed at Chipana Bay, Chile

Seasonal sampling was carried out between spring 2005 and winter 2007, always choosing days with calm sea conditions. Sampling units (10 m * 1 m each, separated by ≥15 m) located along three replicated transects (five sampling units per one of the three transects analyzed in each of the four seasons) were assessed. Within sampling units one scientific SCUBA diver (always the same) recorded the water depth and frequency of habitat type.本研究于2005年春季至2007年冬季开展季节性采样，所有采样均选取海况平静的日期实施。沿3条重复样带布设采样单元，单个采样单元规格为10 m × 1 m，单元间距≥15 m；在每个采样季节中，均对3条样带各含有的5个采样单元进行评估分析。各采样单元内的水深与栖息地类型出现频次，均由同一名专业水肺潜水（SCUBA）员完成记录。
