1、科学、系统地设计了自然保护区生物多样性研究框架。 2.生物多样性的环境系统分析,揭示环境背景及其变化规律,为生物多样性的存在寻找机理和保护提供了依据。 3、完成了该区域生物多样性编目,阐明生物区系起源。区内植物种类计377科1070属2401种亚、变种、变型,动物种类计190科736种,有3新纪录属和31新记录种,以该区标本为模式建立的新种9个。生物区系以温带成分为主。 4、较系统分析植被类型及分布特点,研究了关键生物类群,揭示其在生物多样性中的地位作用。 5、弄清了该区珍稀濒危生物种类,通过长期观测,揭示了鸟类,特别是红腹锦鸡、黑叶猴种群结构、数量、习性及生存状况。 6、首次采用ICD-10(国际疾病分类系统)对该区药用植物资源进行分类、评价表明宽阔水药用植物中有很有应用前景的药用植物。 7、系统地评价了该保护区生物多样性及其环境背景,提出保护建议。从生态系统原生性,代表性,生物多样性,物种起源古老、珍稀、孑遗性,观赏性,生态系统功能服务性,自然景观具较高的美学价值,开发价值以及科学研究潜力等方面全面、系统评价,阐明了该区极具保护价值,提出建立国家级自然保护区等保护对策。 研究成果丰富了我国自然保护区学及生物多样性保护的理论与技术,对我国自然保护区,特别是南方喀斯特自然保护区生物多样性保护和利用提供了重要的科学依据,对促进我国西部生态环境建设具有重要的作用。经贵州省科技厅组织全国专家鉴定评价,研究成果达到国际先进和国内领先水平。 本研究成果以生态效益和社会效益为主,难以用经济价值衡量。成果体现于形成35篇科学研究报告,出版了论文集1部。成果为贵州省宽阔水省级自然保护区总体规划、分区布局和关键物种的保护管理依据 是申报国家级自然保护区的重要内容,《贵州省绥阳县旅游发展总体规划(2005~2020)》的规划依据。
1. A scientific and systematic research framework for biodiversity conservation in nature reserves was established.
2. Systematic environmental analysis of the regional biodiversity was carried out, revealing the environmental background and its variation patterns, which provides a scientific basis for exploring the survival mechanisms of biodiversity and formulating conservation strategies.
3. A comprehensive biodiversity inventory of the region was completed, and the origin of the local biota was clarified. The local flora comprises 2401 species, subspecies, varieties and forms belonging to 1070 genera under 377 families, while the fauna includes 736 species under 190 families. Additionally, 3 genera and 31 species are new regional records, and 9 new species were described based on type specimens collected here. The local biota is dominated by temperate elements.
4. The vegetation types and their distribution characteristics were systematically analyzed, and key biological taxa were investigated to reveal their status and functions in maintaining regional biodiversity.
5. The rare and endangered species in the region were identified. Through long-term monitoring, the population structure, quantity, habits and survival status of birds, particularly the Golden Pheasant (*Chrysolophus pictus*) and François' Langur (*Trachypithecus francoisi*), were clarified.
6. For the first time, ICD-10 (International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision) was adopted to classify and evaluate the medicinal plant resources in the region. The evaluation results indicate that there are numerous medicinal plants with great application prospects among the Kuankuoshui medicinal flora.
7. The biodiversity and its associated environmental background of the nature reserve were systematically evaluated, and targeted conservation recommendations were proposed. A comprehensive and holistic assessment was conducted from multiple dimensions including ecosystem nativeness, representativeness, biodiversity status, ancient, rare and relict species origins, ornamental value, ecosystem functional services, high aesthetic value of natural landscapes, development potential and scientific research value. This assessment confirmed that the region has extremely high conservation value, and countermeasures such as upgrading the reserve to a national nature reserve were put forward.
The research results have enriched the theories and technologies of nature reserve science and biodiversity conservation in China. They provide critical scientific support for the conservation and sustainable utilization of biodiversity in China's nature reserves, especially those in southern karst regions, and play a pivotal role in promoting ecological environment construction in western China. Appraised by national experts organized by the Science and Technology Department of Guizhou Province, the research results have reached the international advanced level and domestic leading level.
The research results primarily generate ecological and social benefits, which are difficult to quantify via economic metrics. The outcomes consist of 35 scientific research reports and one published proceedings. These results serve as the core basis for the overall master planning, zoning layout and key species conservation and management of Kuankuoshui Provincial Nature Reserve in Guizhou Province, are an essential component of the application for upgrading the reserve to a national nature reserve, and provide planning foundations for the "Overall Tourism Development Plan of Suiyang County, Guizhou Province (2005–2020)".
