Minnesota Pollution Control Agency Wild Rice Sulfate Study Mesocosm Synoptic Data

Experimental wetland mesocosms were loaded with dissolved sulfate at various concentrations to study the effects on the growth of wild rice (Zizania sp.). The surface water, sediment porewater, and sediment of 30 mesocosms representing four treatment levels were analyzed over the course of two days in August 2013 to investigate the effects of adding a terminal electron acceptor to an organic rich, anoxic system.

本研究将不同浓度的溶解性硫酸盐投加至实验性湿地中型实验生态系统（mesocosms）中，以探究其对野生稻（菰属Zizania sp.）生长的影响。本研究于2013年8月开展为期两日的采样分析，对涵盖4种处理梯度的30个中型实验生态系统的表层水、沉积物孔隙水及沉积物进行检测，以考察向富含有机质的缺氧体系中添加末端电子受体（terminal electron acceptor）的效应。
