Newly synthesised A-site layer-ordered double perovskites LnBaFe2O6 containing unusually high and mixed valence Fe3.5+ were found to show complicated and successive charge and magnetic transitions. To reveal the natures of the transitions, we propose temperature-dependent neutron diffraction experiments at the WISH diffractometer to clarify the charge and spin orders. The expected results will give us new insights in correlation of charge, spin, and lattice degrees of freedom of the unusually high valence transition-metal oxide systems.

新近合成的A位层有序双钙钛矿(A-site layer-ordered double perovskites)LnBaFe₂O₆,其含有异常高且混合价态的Fe3.5+,该类材料被发现展现出复杂且连续的电荷与磁相变。为揭示这些相变的本质,我们提议在WISH衍射仪上开展变温中子衍射实验,以阐明电荷与自旋有序结构。预期的研究结果将为我们深入理解异常价态过渡金属氧化物体系中电荷、自旋与晶格自由度之间的关联提供全新视角。
