Parish and County level demographic data from Iceland during the Lakagígar eruption 1783

This data set is a collection of 18th century demographic data, used to study the impact of the 1783 volcanic eruption of the Lakagígar fissure.

The data sets contains
1) extracts from surviving parish registries preserved at the National Archive of Iceland (NAI)
2) Birth and Death data on county level, 1769-1789
3) Population data from the census of 1769
