Alcohol consumption and blood pressure in young Australian males, Adelaide 1977-

Information concerning dietary intake, cigarette and alcohol consumption and health was obtained from new male service recruits in order to test the relationships between diet, lifestyle, blood pressure and cholesterol. Data were collected on frequency of consumption of various foods, usual intake of alcohol including setting and type, smoking habits and dietary knowledge. The data file provided by the depositor contains smoking and alcohol consumption details and a measure of systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Background variables include age, education, country of birth, height and weight.
