Dataset of traffic accidents involving animals on São Paulo state highways

These data show a survey of the highway military police reports concerning traffic accidents involving animals on highways of São Paulo state, Brazil, during 2010 to 2018 period. These data are a valuable tool to the scientific community better understand the annual number and severity of traffic accidents that occur due the presence of animals on the highways in São Paulo state; in addition to propose alternatives that can reduce these numbers.
